Warren Vache, one of America’s great trumpeters, will blow audiences away at Rutherfurd Hall later this month when he and his band take the stage as part of the historic site’s popular Great Jazz Series.

The show, on Sunday, Oct. 28, takes place from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. and includes light refreshments.

The Warren Vache Quintet includes some of the best talent currently on the jazz scene. Vache is a prodigious musician who defies labels. His trumpet and cornet performances are known for a swing inspiration as he draws from all the great horn players. Energy, emotion, and hard-earned skills create a sound that is smooth and surprising.

Vache is joined by Chuck Redd, internationally-known drums and vibraphone player; Dwayne Cook Broadnax, Philadelphia-raised drummer with nearly 40 years of experience; Earl Sauls, prolific bass player; and James Chirillo, whose guitar-work has accompanied many of the swing era’s greats.

Tickets are $30 in advance or $35 at the door. Advanced tickets can be purchased on the Rutherfurd Hall website or in-person at Mama’s Café Baci in Hackettstown or Panther Valley Pharmacy in Allamuchy. The series is sponsored by Panther Valley Pharmacy and Heath Village Retirement Community (Hackettstown).

Rutherfurd Hall is located at 1686 Route 517 in Allamuchy, just off Interstate 80. For more information, visit www.RutherfurdHall.org or call (908) 852-1894 ext. 338.
