Warren County Library System has announced two book clubs to add to its growing list of engaging virtual programming while its branches are closed.

The first virtual book club, designed for tweens and teens 10-15, will meet each Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. in Zoom so young bibliophiles can share their current reads, get reading recommendations, and socialize. A Goodreads group has also been established to continue the conversation outside the meeting.

Adults are invited to read “The Woman in the Window” by A.J. Finn and gather via Zoom – a free meeting app – on Friday, May 1, at 2 p.m. or Thursday, May 7, at 7 p.m.

“The Woman in the Window” follows an agoraphobic woman who thinks she sees her neighbor murdered. The book is free on the Hoopla app with your library card. Visit the library events calendar for more information.

Warren County Library System has launched several programs over the last couple of weeks:

  • Maker Mondays: Join Makerspace Coordinator Sandy Roberts Mondays at 2 p.m. as she shares projects that can be made with household items on Facebook live. All ages.
  • Story times: Join librarians as they read their favorite books for the library’s littlest patrons. Held Tuesdays at 1:30 p.m. and Wednesdays at 10 a.m. on Facebook live.
  • Adult arts and crafts: Learn how to make a new project each Thursday at 2 p.m. on Facebook live.
  • Friday S.T.E.A.M.: Roberts will lead a short workshop and project around the theme of S.T.E.A.M. each Friday at 2 p.m. April’s workshops are inspired by Earth Day.
