Cathy Miller’s People Pic of the Week lights up Washington with a couple of familiar faces. Making the trek all the way from the chilly northlands, just in time for Washington’s Hometown Holiday on December 7, Santa and “Elsa” led the countdown to light up the big Christmas tree in the center of town. A short jaunt later, they met children (young and old) in a festive space at Celestine’s. Elsa handed out candy canes and chatted with the children about Anna and Arendelle, while Santa greeted each visitor, listened to their requests, gave out little gifts, and shared smiles and hugs.
