Centenary Stage Company Announces Changes to Upcoming Performances

"Turning" will run Feb. 25 through March 7 with a livestream on Feb. 28.

Due to the on-going public health crisis related to COVID-19, Centenary Stage Company has made several production and event scheduling changes for the next two months.

The world premiere of Turning, by Darrah Cloud, will now run from Feb. 25-March 7. This is in lieu of the originally scheduled performance of Steve Martin’s Meteor Shower during this time. Turning was inspired by the first U.S. women’s gymnastics team, which included a Hackettstown resident, as they prepare for the 1936 Berlin Olympics.

Turning performances will be held in the Sitnik Theatre in the Lackland Performing Arts Center on the campus of Centenary Stage Company. Tickets start at $25, with discounts available for seniors, students, and children under 12. The play will also be available via livestream for $10.

The Seamus Egan concert originally scheduled for March 14 will now be held the following week on March 20. The American Patchwork Quartet originally scheduled that day was moved up to January as part of the Thaw Music Festival.

Current ticket holders with questions regarding purchases made for any of the aforementioned productions are advised to contact the box office directly at (908) 979-0900 or email boxoffice@centenarystageco.org. All tickets purchased for any cancelled/rescheduled event(s) will be honored in their new scheduled dates and will require patrons to receive updated tickets with the corrected date and/or name of the production.

For specific performance dates and times, or to purchase tickets, visit centenarystageco.org or call the Centenary Stage Company box office at (908) 979-0900.
