“Take Time to Smell the Roses” is the theme behind Charlie Fineran’s Photo of The Week.  A secondary theme could be titled ‘Warmth & Colors, Coming Soon !!’

Considering how cold and late Spring was, the latter theme is probably the most important to everyone!!  Having said that, let’s stick to the main theme!

QUESTION: How many times have we traveled and passed by something, something that ‘just jolts’ your mind, peaks and captures your interest, ever beckoning a closer look, etc., yet we journey on??!!

CONSEQUENCE: A turmoil of thoughts, stop-don’t-stop?, missing something?, curiosity peaking!, remember? and maybe visit!, all these thoughts, referring and wondering about that jolting ‘EXPERIENCE’ and THEN, all grudgingly fading away with every new second continuing our journey!!  Sound Familiar???

My story behind the photo of the week.  Just driving around ‘Inside Warren’ and passed by Long Meadow Farm in Hope, noticed they had a large field garden of wildflowers!  I see an opportunity, ( Refer to QUESTION/CONSEQUENCE above ) a few seconds later, turned my car around and parked.  Began exploring the garden, through the lens of my camera, discovering many photo possibilities by zooming in and out with my lens, trying to capture the flavor of each flower or group of flowers, thus creating a beautiful natural collage of colors amid shadows!!  Looking through my viewer on the camera, presents a feeling of flying or windsailing through the garden, much like being a busy bee!!

Over the years, I have learned to follow my Heart/Gut Instincts/Etc. and I have to say, Very rarely been disappointed!  I enjoy allowing the site/sights to take over, honing and sharpening my attention to the sight’s many presentations – All the while gradually removing and deadening all the distractions of life around me!!
