The Warren County Fire Academy recently graduated its 85th class during a special ceremony on Saturday, June 22. The ceremony was held on the grounds of the fire academy on Route 57 in Washington.

The graduating class had 25 members, who will now hold the title of Firefighter 1. To acquire this title, they had to complete a four-month course involving 200 hours of training. The course began on February 5th. The course combined extensive physical and educational requirements that introduced the students to all phases of firefighting and rescue. The recruits will now volunteer time while receiving continuing education within their local Warren County fire departments.
