Dance Theater Will Bring Tale of Dementia, Others To Centenary Stage

When moe-tion dance theater returns to Centenary Stage Company’s Sitnik Theatre March 7, it too brings it unique brand of storytelling through “moe-tion.”

Under the artistic direction of Maureen Glennon Clayton, an adjunct professor at Centenary University and well-known community dance teacher, moe-tion dance theater will present an evening of work that includes “Betty,” a piece created and choreographed by Glennon Clayton, about a grandmother struggling with dementia. The story follows Betty from her youth to adulthood and on into her senior years, as she comes to terms with loss of her memories.

The show, which includes five distinct pieces in all, will be held Saturday, March 7, at 8 p.m.

The Sitnik Theatre is located in the Lackland Performing Arts Center on the campus of Centenary University, 715 Grand Ave., Hackettstown.

Tickets are available online at www.centenarystageco.org or by phone at (908) 979-0900.  Ticket prices are $22.50 Adult and $15 for students and Children under 12.  Ticket prices increase $5 on day of performance.
