The Domestic Abuse & Sexual Assault Crisis Center of Warren County (DASACC) is thrilled to announce its upcoming fundraising event, “Night at the Races Beefsteak,” set to take place on Friday, April 19th, 2024 at the Independence Firehouse located at 24 Cemetery Road, Great Meadows, NJ 07838. Doors will swing open at 6:00 p.m., and the races will kick off at 7:30 p.m. Tickets to the event are $55, and there are opportunities for sponsorship, including a $55 horse sponsorship in which you can name your horse and your name is entered for a chance to win one of three grand prizes!

Isela Arras, Executive Director of DASACC, voiced her anticipation for the event, declaring, “With every hoofbeat, we propel ourselves toward a safer future for survivors of domestic violence. It promises to be an evening filled with pulse-pounding races, beefsteak – a New Jersey culinary tradition, and, most importantly, a chance to rally behind a meaningful cause. Let’s unite in support, creating ripples of change while reveling in the thrill of cheering on our favorite equine contenders – we extend a heartfelt invitation for you to be a part of it all!”

“Night at the Races Beefsteak” promises an exhilarating evening featuring professionally narrated horse races, presented on a large screen with commentary from some of America’s most acclaimed announcers. Attendees will have the opportunity to place bets on the races, with winners receiving amusing currency that can be exchanged for tickets for a chance to win one of over 30 exciting prize baskets.

Lori Knerr, President of the Board of Directors, also said, “We’re looking forward to hosting the community for our Night at the Races fundraising event in Great Meadows. It’s always such fun, with great food and a fun atmosphere. Where else can you have a fun dinner with your friends, enthusiastically cheer on your horse, and have a chance to win baskets with great prizes?”
