Ed Shellman Is The ‘Grand’ Man In Hackettstown

The parade steps off on Sunday March 11 at 3:30 p.m. A Grand Marshall reception was held on Thursday with many special guests including Barnes, who has attended the parade several times. Barnes first visited Hackettstown in 1997 and this year’s visit is his 14th overall. Shellman is a 40-year resident of Hackettstown. Shellman’s Irish roots go back to County Limerick and County Donegal. He has been involved in a variety of community activities over the years, coaching baseball, basketball and football, and co-founded Tiger Athletics. He is also a member of the Knights of Columbus, American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars, and the Catholic War Veterans.
