Hackettstown Free Public Library’s Summer Reading Program Begins June 16

The Hackettstown Free Public Library will be holding its annual Summer Reading
Program for residents from June 16-August 18. Registration can be done online through the Library’s
website (www.hackettstownlibrary.org) or in-person. This year’s program focuses around the theme “All
Together Now” and is broken down into three age groups: adults, teens & tweens, and children. For
every book read or listened to, the participant receives a ticket to be entered into a raffle to win one of
six age-appropriate prizes. Tickets are also earned for attending Library programs during the program
period.
A Kickoff Event featuring the New Jersey Snake Man and Marley’s Gotham Grill’s food truck will be
taking place on June 16. Members of the public are invited to join in the festivities at 1 pm and to sign up for the program. “The Summer Reading Program encourages our patrons to
read all summer long and promises prizes to eighteen lucky recipients,” stated Library Director Jerry
Galante. “We want to thank the local businesses and organizations that have given us their support to
make this a great Summer Reading Program for all our residents,” Galante said.
Programs and craft events are planned throughout the summer for people of all ages. Please see the
Library’s calendar of events for more information (https://hackettstownlibrary.org/calendar). The
Hackettstown Free Public Library is located at 110 Church Street.
