Warren Hills senior third baseman Tommy Moore and teammate senior catcher P.J. Hanisak were selected by the Skyland Conference Valley Division baseball coaches to first team positions as All-Conference honors were bestowed this month.

With 21 goals and 10 assists, senior attacker Mikayla Dugan (who also shined on the Blue Streaks’ sectional champion field hockey team in the fall) earned first team honors in Valley Division girls lacrosse. Cheers to Scotty
Scott Cassels, known to many locals as the owner of Scotty’s Stadium Club in Washington’s downtown shopping district, was honored recently with induction into the North Hunterdon Sports Hall of Fame.
Known as “Mr. Wizard” in the Lions’ basketball backcourt in 1971, Scott played hoops with distinction as an unselfish point guard. In his senior season, when the Lions roared to a 22-2 record, he scored 243 points while dealing 202 assists to teammates. In the spring, in baseball, for North’s 1971 Delaware River Conference champions, Scott shined on the bump, with a 6-1 won-loss record, striking out 65 hitters and pitching with pinpoint control, walking a mere 13 batters. At the plate, he batted a great .308.
