Haunted Fest Brings Spooky Fun to ‘Dodge City’

Wild West City’s “Dodge City” is transforming itself into a Ghost Town this Halloween season and there will be plenty of ghosts to play host to cow-boos and cow-ghouls. Haunted Wild West Fest will run weekends starting Oct. 2 with all-ages activities during the daytime and starting Oct. 8 a “PG-13” rated version for the evenings.

During the day on Saturdays and Sundays, experience a Halloween twist on the classic Wild West City experience when shows along the main street take a haunting turn. Expect appearances from the headless horseman and dance along to the Zombie Can-Can girls, and more. A children’s costume contest and trick or treating will also be held daily!

No gravestone will be left unturned – the main street and all its buildings will be decked out for Halloween with lights, effects, and a special spooky cocktail will be offered by the Golden Nugget Saloon for those 21 and over.

But don’t worry – all the activities you know and love at Wild West City will be available, including the Stage Coach or Train and Pony Ride for the younger buckaroos! Guests can also learn a spell or two at the Wild West City School House, visit the Blacksmith shop, head on down to Haunted Mine and see the Crazy Goldminer to try your luck striking gold. Mosey over to the West’s Homestead where the ghost of the Frontiersman still haunts.

When the sun goes down, though, the fear goes up led by the Ghost of John West the Frontiersman.

On Friday and Saturday nights starting October 8th, brave a spooky train ride through dangerous territory on the outskirts of town and walk the Haunted Frontiersman Trail into Wild West City.

The Golden Nugget Saloon will be open after the first train ride makes its way into town serving spooky cocktails for those 21 and over. The town will be decked out with lights, special Halloween effects and spooky decorations.

Evening activities are best suited for braver children, teens and adults.

Watch the best of the Wild West come to life at this fun and spooky fall outdoor adventure at Wild West City!

All ages are welcome for both events. Parents can use their discretion for the Night Time Haunted Train and Trail.
