Knoll, Valinski, Khalil Elected to WBID Board

The newest members of the Washington Business Improvement District Board of Directors bring varied backgrounds and experience to the business community’s leadership team.

“We are very excited about our new board members,” said Vincent Iannelli, WBID Board President and the owner of Pasta Grill by Enzo. “They each offer something important to our ultimate goal of continuing our efforts to make Washington Borough a thriving place to own a business and to attract new customers, now and in the future.”

Amgad Khalil, Managing Partner of Infinite Engineering Solutions LLC, a real estate company, was elected in the Owners of Assessed Apartment or Commercial Property Who Are Landlords of the Property category. His company, he notes, wants to bring “value to the community. Our motto is ‘Everyone deserves an opportunity for success.'”

In the Professional Business Operators At Large category, Christopher Knoll, owner of Knoll-DeVoe Funeral Home & Cremation Service, was the selection. In the two years since they took over the former DeVoe Funeral Home, Knoll says that “we have come to love the hometown feel of the community,” something that he had expected given the history of Washington.

Bob Valinski, who has a background in business development, takes over the position of Resident Property Owner. One of the big attractions to Washington initially was the Festival in the Borough. Since moving here six years ago he has gotten involved in many community activities, in particular as part of the Green Team. He sees Washington as being ready for growth: “We have a lot of opportunity for business growth in the Borough and I would like to be part of it.”

“A terrific group of people who are committed to making Washington Borough the best it can be,” said Melanie Thiel, Executive Director of the WBID. “We look forward to having them help the WBID make a difference not just in our community, but throughout the region.”
