C3 Soul Revue, featuring Terry Thomas of Washington, starts off the free festival weekend presented by Washington Business Improvement District on Friday Sept. 15 with a special performance in Veteran’s Park from 6 to 8 p.m. On Saturday, Sept. 16, the action kicks into high gear from 11 a.m until 10 p.m. with 3 stages of music, dozens of vendors, kids activities, a beer garden, food and more!

Radio Zoo and the JerZgirls will be performing at the Scotty’s Stage on Belvidere Avenue while “The Singing Dove” – Diana Dove – plays the Broad Street Stage, located by Gaia’s Gifts on Broad Street. Cairo is slated for the Main Stage on E. Washington Avenue (in the center of the Downtown/Route 57).

The 19th Annual Festival in the Borough is a family-friendly event with something for everyone to do throughout the day.

This year’s festival features national recording artist Stanley Jordan playing Jimi (Hendrix) as the headliner. Capping the night portion of the event will be the high energy band, Philadelphia Funk Authority. Raquel & The Wildflowers is the opener on the Main Stage, which also showcases the national touring act, Hi-Risers.

Among the other regional acts set to perform during the event are Gina Royale, Toga Party, New Watchdog Blues Band, Jessica Koppinger and Lost Paradise, Tweed & The Sugar Daddies, Tommy Hyde, Walt Bibinger and Gregory McLoughlin.

Also featured on the Scotty’s Stage to cap the night there is Grateful Dead cover band Diamond Eye Jack.  Visit the website for the full schedule.

While there is some seating available, the WBID invites attendees to bring lawn chairs, and to enjoy a fun day outdoors with music in the air.
