Massimo Named to Alumni Spot on College Board

Andrea Massimo

Andrea Massimo loves an opportunity to learn and lead. This made her a clear choice for the role of Alumni Representative on the Warren Community College Board of Trustees.

While a student at WCC, the 2020 Business Administration graduate found herself drawn to leadership positions that promoted education. She proudly served as the president of the Alpha Upsilon Rho chapter of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society, under whose leadership the chapter and its members earned many accolades.

She was also named to the 2020 New Jersey All-State Academic Team, which recognized individuals from each of the 18 community colleges throughout the state.

It was as a result of all of her efforts that Massimo was selected by her fellow alumni to be the Trustee representative.

“Andrea is a great addition to the Board,” said Dr. Phil Linfante, Chair of the Trustees. “Her insight and enthusiasm will be valuable and welcomed.”

A graduate of Warren Hills and current student at Centenary University – pursuing a double degree in Secondary Education: English – Massimo looks forward to working with such a “tight-knit and fun group of people.”

As the alumni representative on the Board, Massimo will provide a unique, personal point of view to issues and discussion points that might otherwise be missed.

“Being selected as a Trustee makes me feel as though I can serve a purpose to the college that has given me so much opportunity and room to grow,” said Massimo. “I’m glad that I have the chance to give back.”
