May is here and so is spring fever! Rutherfurd Hall has announced its monthly calendar, which includes bus tours of the area and see it in all of its spring glory! Monthly events at the historic mansion continue, including meditation, paint, and live music, plus a free lecture and ongoing summer camp registration.

Healthy U Explore Day, a free family fun day of outdoor activities and adventure hosted by the Allamuchy School District at the Mountain Villa School, will be Saturday, May 11, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. (Rain date May 19). Activities will include Canoeing+Kayaking, Rock Climbing, Inflatable Obstacle Course, Reptile Show, Crafts, Demonstrations, Guided Hikes, Drawing and Group fitness Classes, and much more.

The monthly Adult Paint and (BYO) Wine Night with the Mayor will be held on Thursday, May 16. The event is $25 per person and runs 7-9 p.m. Meet Mayor Rick Lomonaco while honoring those who have served our country by painting a rustic patriotic American flag. All supplies and Pretzel Factory pretzels are included.

Invite peace into your life with Mantra Meditation with Jean Marie, Fostering the Journey, scheduled for Wednesday, May 22, from 6:30-7:30 p.m. An optional half-hour Gentle Yoga will precede the class. Tickets are $15 for meditation and $7 for yoga.

A special lecture led by Allamuchy Historical Society President Charlie Fineran will be held at Panther Valley Golf and Country Club on Wednesday, May 22. The presentation will talk about the History of Allamuchy. This is a special event. You do not have to be a member of PVG&CC to attend. Please RSVP to PVG&CC at (908) 850-0800. $45 includes buffet dinner, dessert, coffee, and lecture. Cash Bar Available.

Two dates already sold out, so book now for the May 29 Bus Tour of Historic Allamuchy! Visit the sites located within Allamuchy that are tied to Rutherfurd Hall.  Take a ride while listening to the tour guide go back in history to the time when the Rutherfurd family stayed in Allamuchy for summer vacations. This special bus tour is open to the public. It will last approximately 1 ½ hours. $15 per person.

Registration is also now open for Summer Camps at Rutherfurd Hall! Themes include Harry Potter, Sports and Games, STEAM, Outdoor Survival, Boating Camp, and a special new camp designed for younger campers ages 6-9, Introduction to Outdoor Education. Rutherfurd Hall is located at 1686 Route 517 in Allamuchy, just off Interstate 80. They are open every Wednesday from 1:00-4:00 pm for tours on the hour.
