OCS Names Faculty of the Year

Oxford Central School is proud to celebrate three of its faculty and staff for going above and beyond their roles in 2018.

Special Education teacher and 504 Coordinator Jennifer Saxton has been named Teacher of the Year. A graduate of the Warren Hills school district, Saxton attended Warren Hills Regional High School and earned a degree locally at Centenary University. She has worked within the district for 10 years. 

The Educational Services Professional of the Year is Carol Halloran. She began substituting in the district in 2000 after retiring from a career in banking. She then became a paraprofessional and soon after a Board of Education administrative assistant. Halloran is currently the secretary in the main office.

Shannon Pettinelli has been named the Exemplary Educator of the Year. A graduate of Belvidere High School, she returned home for her career in education. The special education teacher has been serving the district for 10 years and is currently in charge of the school’s Autism Program.
