Two new programs are being added to the list of weekly virtual events at Warren County Library: Belly Dancing for Beginners and a fun 15-minute Lecture Series.

Each Tuesday in May at 7 p.m., join photojournalist Jim DelGiudice’s Judson Lecture Series as he discusses topics like “Bad Penny: A brief history of America’s oldest (and now most reviled) currency,” “From Bees to Tomatoes: NJ’s State Symbols Fun Facts,” “Kitchens Around the World: Why Everyone’s Forks Are in the Same Drawer from Kansas to Kenya,” and “Fuhgeddaboudit: They Don’t Call it the Big Apple for Nuthin’.”

A fun way to get fit, join Jimena from Dance Phillipsburg to learn how to belly dance from the comfort of your home. Meeting Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m. throughout May, the classes will be held through Zoom.

Visit the library events calendar for more information and to register.

Warren County Library System has launched several programs over the last few weeks:

  • Maker Mondays: Join Makerspace Coordinator Sandy Roberts Mondays at 2 p.m. as she shares projects that can be made with household items on Facebook live. All ages.
  • Story times: Join librarians as they read their favorite books for the library’s littlest patrons. Held Tuesdays at 1:30 p.m. and Wednesdays at 10 a.m. on Facebook live.
  • Tween and teen book club: Young bibliophiles can socialize and talk about what they’re reading now.
  • Adult arts and crafts: Learn how to make a new project each Thursday at 2 p.m. on Facebook live.
  • Friday S.T.E.A.M.: Roberts will lead a short workshop and project around the theme of S.T.E.A.M. each Friday at 2 p.m. April’s workshops are inspired by Earth Day.
