More than 250 pounds of personal care items and non-perishable goods were collected during Oxford Central School’s annual Rolling Thunder Collection, which supports U.S. troops overseas. School nurse Barbara Svercauski oversaw the collections. Students and staff collected items such as toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant, granola bars, cough drops, lip balm, Pop Tarts, microwave soups, popcorn, and instant oatmeal. The items will go to the Rolling Thunder Organization, a Vietnam-era motorcycle club, which will distribute the goods to troops across seas.
