Rotary Club’s Virtual Paint Night to Fight Blindness

The Hackettstown Rotary Club will be hosting a virtual Harvest Paint Night Fundraiser on Thursday, Nov. 12.

A professional artist from Hackettstown’s ARTstitution will guide “attendees” through the evening’s painting, featuring a festive pumpkin. The event will run 6-8 p.m.

“We decided to move forward with this fundraiser to help supplement the loss of our largest fundraiser Madness Memorial Day Car Show due to COVID-19,” says Laurie Rapisardi, Hackettstown Rotary Club’s President and Hackettstown BID Executive Director.  “It is a great way to support a wonderful organization, plus experience a fun-filled evening with other community members virtually.  All proceeds for this project is earmarked for the Himalayan Cataract Project.”

The Himalayan Cataract Project works to eliminate preventable and curable blindness in under-resourced communities.

Cost for the event is $35 per ticket, which includes a 16”x20” canvas, paint and brushes. Supplies can be picked up at the Hackettstown BID office by appointment.

To purchase tickets, visit the ARTstition website.
