Singer Songwriters At Wild West City Aug. 8-9

Music will fill the air along with the sounds of horses, cowboys and lawmen at Wild West City the weekend of Aug. 8-9.

As part of the weekend’s festivities at the iconic western themed amusement park, Skylands Songwriters Guild members will be featured playing country and bluegrass music.

On Saturday, Stephanie Joyner, below, (12 & 1:15) and Gary Reed, above, (2:15 & 3:30) take the stage at the Outdoor Opera House, and on Sunday, it’s Thomas Johnston (12 & 1:15) and Mike Herz (2:15 & 3:30).

Wild West City is a western heritage theme park recreating 1880’s life in Dodge City, Kansas. With 22 different live-action shows, crowd participation, stagecoach, train and pony rides, plus special events, museum-quality exhibits, and a whole lot more, there is truly something for everyone.

Music will be part of the Wild West City daily experience and is included in the regular admission fee.

Skylands Songwriters Guild is a 501c3 non-profit membership organization dedicated to building bridges between independent songwriting artists and the local communities. Those who create and those who appreciate.  The organization seeks to provide an open and supportive atmosphere for aspiring amateur Singer-Songwriters as well as accomplished professionals from Northwest New Jersey and the surrounding region. SSG hosts learning and sharing events throughout the year such as Open Mics, coffeehouses, Groove in the Grove Indie Music Festival, workshops and seminars.
