Summer Events at Rutherfurd Hall: Fireworks, Camp, Concerts Galore

Rutherfurd Hall

Visit Historic Rutherfurd Hall this summer for one of its spectacular summer events.

Start the summer with a show-stopping Fourth of July fireworks display. This year’s celebration will take place on June 30th, with a rain date of July 1st. The grounds are open at 5 p.m., and the fireworks will go off just after 9 p.m. Premium parking passes and tent site reservations will go on sale after Memorial Day, as well as Private Room Rentals to view the show. Free buses will get you there from Panther Valley Ecumenical Church. Live music from Uncle Shoehorn will be played with lots of family fun. Coolers are welcome and food vendors will also be onsite.

Registration is open for Summer Camps at Rutherfurd Hall, which will have sessions throughout the month of July. For the eighth summer in a row, the spectacular, historic Tudor Mansion will be transformed into Hogwarts Castle and become the setting for three different sessions of Harry Potter Themed Camps. Classic Sports and Games Camp will also return to the mansion. STEAM Camp (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math), Outdoor Survival Camp, Boating Camp, and Intro to Outdoor Education round out the exciting choices for campers. Some choices have been added for children in different age groups, so please check out the website for details. These exciting experiences will be filled with enough memories to last a lifetime.

Rutherfurd Hall will also be rockin’ this summer with two free Outdoor Lawn Concerts by Brass Roots on Thursday, July 11 (rain date July 25) and Jukebox Trio Aug. 2 (rain date Aug. 9). Bring your lawn chairs and blankets for a Free Lawn Concert generously sponsored by the Friends of Rutherfurd Hall. Light refreshments will be for sale. Check the Rutherfurd Hall website for more details.

And the Summer Jazz Series, Piano in the Parlour, will return for three nights of powerful pianists. The Rio Clemente Trio will perform July 19, The Bill Mays Trio August 23, and David Leonhardt Trio with Nancy Reed will close out the series on Sept. 13. Tickets are $22.50 in advance. Add $5 at the door.

Last, but certainly not least, save the date! September 6, 7, and 8 will be the second annual Allamuchy Country Fair! Held at Waterloo Village, guests will enjoy rides, games, music, food, old fashioned family fun and Fireworks! Stay tuned for more information.
