Susanna Rich’s Poetry Highlights Women’s Sufferage

The Warren County Library is sponsoring a Zoom presentation by Emmy Award poet nominee Susanna Rich on April 25

She will read her original poetry from her book “Shout: Poetry for Sufferage” to recreate 4-D lived experiences of the battle for suffrage and equal rights. The poems are written from the points of view of a wide range of key figures from Susan B. Anthony and Elizabeth Cady Stanton to Alice Paul and Ida B. Wells and also deal with 21st Century elections. They are intimate poems designed to inspire and galvanize.

The presentation is sponsored by the League of Women Voters of Warren and Morris Counties. Register in advance to receive the zoom link with Laura at (908) 362-8335 or laurag@warrenlib.org.
