The Arc of Warren County, the House of the Good Shepherd Hosting Charity Golf Classic at Hawk Pointe

For the second straight year, two Warren County non-profits are partnering on a golf outing that will raise funds for both organizations. The Arc of Warren County and The House of The Good Shepherd are hosting the “Golf Classic” on Monday, Sept. 13, at the prestigious Hawk Pointe Golf Club in Washington Township.

Funds raised at the event will support The Arc Foundation and The House’s Shepherd’s Fund. The Arc Foundation was established in 1998 to provide a continuum of funding to help assure the financial security of The Arc programs for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The Shepherd’s Fund provides financial assistance to The House of the Good Shepherd residents whose resources have depleted over time and allows them to continue to receive care regardless of their financial capacity to pay.

Norman Worth, Managing Partner and President of WRNJ Radio and a Trustee on The House of the Good Shepherd Board, will emcee the event.

“The partnership has been terrific,” said Susan Lanza, CEO of The House of the Good Shepherd. “The relationship has been very fruitful for both of our organizations.”

“We are thankful to be working with The House of the Good Shepherd on this event,” added John Whitehead, CEO of The Arc of Warren County. “It has been an extremely positive experience for all involved.”

Last year’s cooperative outing was a resounding success with over 100 golfers participating and raising over $13,000 in support of The Arc Foundation and The Shepherd’s Fund. Both organizations are looking forward to even more success this year.

Hawk Pointe, one of the premier courses in the region, is located on Route 31.
