Washington Borough’s Farmers Market “Appreciates” Seniors, Flowers

Steve Kirchuk performs at the Farmers Market on July 8.

Senior citizens, while always appreciated, will really get appreciated at the July 8 Washington Borough Farmers Market. On that day, seniors will receive a discount on purchases. The Farmers Market offers fresh fruits, vegetables and flowers – with a different theme with specially crafted activities and live music.

The weekly farmers market runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. every Saturday through the end of September in the center of the Downtown Washington by Veteran’s Park.

The July 8 Senior Appreciation Day also includes live music with Steve Kirchuk.

On July 15 the musical duo Kate & Paul entertains attendees with flowers of all kinds being highlighted for sale.

Later in July, Santa and Mrs. Claus pay a visit on the 22nd when the market celebrates Christmas in July! DJ Mitch Hess will spin all your holiday favorites. A week later it is Sidewalk Sales Day and music by Hippie Speedball.

The Farmers Market, presented by the Washington Borough Green Team in association with the Washington Business Improvement District, offers a variety of farms and vendors each week.

Among the regular farmers market vendors this year are: Pipers Hill Farms, The Rooted Lion/Dandy Lion Acres Farm: K & A Farms, Greenbytes Farm, Nine Lives Farms, Le Crepe Cafe, Touchstone Crystal, Sourland Mountain Spirits, Missy’s Angels Animal Rescue, Bee to the Honey, Tea Thyme Sweet & Savory, the Beehive Bling, and Buttzville Brewing.
