Washington Celebrates Hometown Halloween

So many great costumes on Saturday Oct. 30 for Washington’s Hometown Halloween! Hundreds of children, pets and adults dressed for the occasion. Picking winners of the costume contest wasn’t easy but these three stood out: The Mario Brothers featuring Michele, Chris and Irie, 8, DeMott, along with Irie’s friends, Gabby and Brielle, both 10, GROUP winner; Payton Cimmino (clown), 3, INDIVIDUAL; and Winston (PET), with owner Allie Berry – all residents of Washington. First place in the business pumpkin contest went to Colleen Cohen and Buttzville Brewing (KRP2 Swirl-N-Chill and Get A Grip/NJ School of Woodworking were second and third respectively). The event was presented by the Washington Business Improvement Districts and the businesses of Downtown. Photos by Cathy Miller.
