Former Hackettstown Hospital CEO Joins House of Good Shepherd board

Gene Milton

Gene Milton, the former President and CEO of Hackettstown Regional Medical Center, has joined the House of the Good Shepherd’s Board of Trustees.

Milton, who has also served in a number of positions with Adventist Healthcare in Maryland, is currently a consultant and executive coach.

“I am very excited to be a board member of this great organization,” said Milton. “It is my hope that my 25 years leading Hackettstown Hospital in this ever-changing healthcare environment will be a benefit to assist The House to grow and continue to provide quality and compassionate care to the community.”

The House of the Good Shepherd has been a staple in the Hackettstown community for decades, offering an array of living arrangements for seniors, from independent living to assisted living to skilled nursing care.

Earlier this year, The House added two other prominent community leaders to its board: Norman Worth of WRNJ where he is President and General Manager, and Greg Ackerson, owner of Blue Ridge Lumber and Grand Rental Station.

Milton, Ackerson and Worth have all been involved in numerous non-profits over the years, on various boards and in general, supporting community efforts.

“We are so lucky to have all three of these gentlemen on our board,” said Sue Lanza, CEO of The House. “They bring a wealth of experience to the table and are all very respected in the region. As we continue to forge ahead to serve our residents – and be an important part of the community – their participation will be extremely valuable.”
