Hackettstown-Area Senior Hall Returns in 2022

The Hackettstown-Area Senior Hall of Fame has nearly 250 members and those numbers will grow in 2022.The Senior Hall, previously presented by Hackettstown Medical Center, will be hosted by the House of the Good Shepherd Retirement Community in Hackettstown in 2022. After a “hiatus” due in part because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the return of the Senior Hall is welcome news to all involved.

“We are excited to be directly involved with the Senior Hall of Fame, a wonderful event that so many look forward to,” said Sue Lanza, CEO of The House. “It’s a fabulous way to honor our seniors for their efforts in the community.”

“The Senior Hall of Fame recognizes seniors from the area who have contributed so much and the hospital is proud to have been part of the group that initiated this event in 1997,” added Lisa Dimiceli, Manager of Community and Donor Relations with the Foundation for Hackettstown Medical Center.  “The event is in great hands with the House of the Good Shepherd and we look forward to another memorable celebration in 2022!”

The Hackettstown-Area Senior Hall of Fame was originally established as part of a hospital community outreach initiative. Annually honorees are recognized for the impacts that they have done to help others.

The 2022 Senior Hall Luncheon will be held on Wednesday May 11 at David’s Country Inn in Hackettstown. Nomination forms are already available at www.hotgs.org/events.

Individuals who are 60 years of age and older as of Jan. 1, 2022, are eligible to be nominated. The criteria is straight forward: How has the nominee made an impact on individuals, communities or organizations, and which community organization or individuals have benefitted from the senior’s specific efforts?
