This year’s Mount Olive Area Chamber of Commerce’s Oliver Awards event was a virtual success!

Undeterred by the challenges of COVID restrictions, the chamber, which represents businesses in the Greater Mount Olive-Hackettstown Area, held its 6th Annual Oliver Awards event on Oct. 13 via zoom. The event recognizes chamber members for their efforts in a variety of marketing categories each year. 

Several Hackettstown-based businesses were among those recognized by the Chamber. Among them, HTV Media Productions, CHP Communications, and WRNJ. 

The “show” included video presentations to the winners, mid-show entertainment by Rick Barth, live speeches and member interaction.  

“This is an event our members really look forward to every year, ” said Chuck Aaron, President of the Chamber. “We didn’t want to disappoint our members and after much deliberation came up with a hybrid plan that we thought would be a way to make the best of it. Having this as in-person event would have been difficult. We are so glad that we were able to bring the fun to everyone’s computer.”

The planning committee consisted of Aaron, owner of Jersey Girl Brewing, Patrice Schaffer of Navitend, Claudia Ehrgott, recently retired from Graphic Image Inc., and HTV Media Productions’ Ron Jaghab, who produced the video portion of the event.

“It was a team effort!” said Aaron. “The committee worked hard to pull it together.”

Aaron also thanked the sponsors of the event for their support: Nisivoccia, Veolia Environmental Services, Follow Me Social Media, Givaudan, and Robertet.

The winning awards were divided into member self-promotion, and marketing pro categories, which are projects completed by Chamber marketing industry professionals for their clients.
