M Galleries PNA Highlights WCCC Art Director

Tracy DiTolla, Teaching Administrator of the Art Department at Warren County Community College, will have her own works featured at a special exhibition this month at M Galleries PNA in Washington Township.

M Galleries PNA is located at 54 Mine Hill Road. A closing reception is scheduled for Saturday March 28 from 4-6 p.m. Regular hours at the gallery are Saturday and Sunday 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., or by appointment.

Her exhibit at M Galleries is titled, “Sacred Spaces.”

“I am interested in the way that violent imagery and stories derived from Catholicism are taken in and reinterpreted in imaginative and domestic spaces,” said DiTolla. “My work explores the effects of those images on the mind of a child through memories of my own childhood.”

DiTolla received her BA in art history from William Paterson University, her MA in art history and her MFA in studio art from Montclair University. A resident of Northern New Jersey, she has been at WCCC for several years where she also coordinates monthly art exhibits in the College’s Gallery. Additionally she exhibits her own work throughout New New Jersey and is a freelance writer for sites such as notwhatitis.com and The Art Story.
