‘Santas’ Collected Hundreds of Gifts for Area Seniors

Home Instead Senior Care of Hunterdon and Warren Counties collected more than 500 gifts for area seniors and veterans.

Home Instead Senior Care’s 15th annual “Be a Santa to a Senior” was a big success, providing more than 125 area seniors and veterans in need with gifts this holiday season.

Home Instead Senior Care of Hunterdon and Warren Counties would like to thank all who participated in “Be a Santa to a Senior” and its partner program, “Be a Santa to a Veteran,” which provides gifts to residents of Veteran’s Haven North, a transition housing program for homeless veterans located in Glen Gardner (Hunterdon County).

According to Home Instead, “Knowing senior haven’t been forgotten is the best gift we can offer them.” Tracy Fazzolari, of the Washington Home Instead Senior Care office, and her staff make senior outreach their personal mission.

In addition to “head elf,” Trish Hyland, Lentz, the office would like to extend heartfelt thanks to Blairstown United Methodist Church, Brookfield Glen Condos (Belvidere), Coppers Salon (Washington), Dairy Queen (Washington), Kristina Michele Salon (Hackettstown), Little Bears Learning Center (Washington), National Kitchen & Bath Association (Hackettstown), North Warren Pharmacy (Blairstown), Panther Valley Pharmacy (Allamuchy), Print Plus (Stewartsville), St. John’s Lutheran Church (Phillipsburg), Warren Hills Regional High School (Washington), Warren County Office on Aging (Belvidere), and others.

The program collected more than 500 gifts for local seniors and veterans who may have otherwise been overlooked this holiday season. Volunteers collected, wrapped, and delivered the gifts.
