Three Warren Community College business students are being recognized by a state organization for their outstanding academic records.

Anthony Accetturo, Oliver Lynch, and Juli Sam will be inducted into the elite New Jersey Collegiate Business Administration Association (NJCBAA) Honor Society, a top honor reserved for only the top one percent of business students in the state, in May.

This year’s induction ceremony will be hosted by Rutgers Business School, on Rutgers’s New Brunswick campus, on Friday, May 5. The annual induction ceremony celebrates undergraduate students pursuing degrees in business. As a core offering to its members, NJCBAA says it is proud to be able to recognize the outstanding academic achievements of young business professionals.

Accetturo and Sam are both Business Administration majors while Lynch majors in Accounting Management. All three are graduating from Warren in May.

Accetturo, a Warren Hills graduate who will attend Seton Hall University in the fall, has long term plans to run his own business and to support his family’s current business, New Jersey Estate and Auction Services.

Lynch, also a graduate of Warren Hills, plans on attending a 4-year college as well, but is still undecided. He eventually wants to become a CPA.

Sam, who attended Belvidere High School, is planning on becoming an Actuary.

The Assocation notes, “It is fitting at the end of each academic year to recognize and honor our top one-percent business students from two- and four-year colleges across New Jersey for their scholarly achievements. The academic accomplishments of our students should warm our hearts and remind us of the excellence we have right here in the Garden State.”

Warren Community College’s Acting President, Dr. Marianne Van Deursen, recognizes that being invited into this prestigious society is no easy feat.

“The College community couldn’t be happier for these deserving students,” she said. “In addition to demonstrating remarkable dedication to their studies and overall hard work, all three have set attainable professional goals”.

John Peppas, Business Area Chair at Warren, added “faculty and staff could not be prouder of these students and what they have achieved. It is what we strive for as educators; getting the best out of our students. To them and their families, congratulations on this awesome accomplishment.”
