A large amount of preparation was done by the Warren Garden Club members leading up to the installation of holiday decorations at Drumthwacket, the NJ Governor’s Mansion in Princeton. Greens were gathered from the properties of our members Dorothy Razawich and Sue and Len Goran to embellish the huge wreaths that hang on the main gates at the entryway. Marge and Brian Wilcox generously offered their millhouse as a place to assemble the wreaths and create the festive red bows for the 29 wreaths that adorn the front windows of the mansion. Fifteen of our members worked together to bring all of the decorations to fruition. A big “thank you” goes to Charlene Loux for her guidance on the project.

All of the participating clubs from across the state gathered at the mansion on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving to complete the decorating of the historic house. Rhoda Duve, Carol Ayers, Mary Ellen Hackett and Portia Alan represented the Warren Garden Club. A week later members of the Warren Garden Club traveled to Princeton to tour the mansion and enjoy the amazing decorations.

Merry Christmas, Happy Channukah and Happy Holidays to all!
