WCA Parade Announces More Additions to the Lineup

The Washington Celebrates America committee has announced that new additions to the July 4th parade line up will make this year’s parade one of the biggest ever, if not the biggest. The parade steps off at 3 parade on July 4th and the route runs along Belvidere and Broad Streets. With this the 100th anniversary of the NJ State Police there will be police cars from both the Perryville and Washington barrack. Also, Northstar will be doing a flyover of the parade route. There will also be a Huey 242 helicopter that will be pulled on a flat bed in the parade and then be on display at the fireworks field (Washington Middle School) later for kids to climb up and sit in for photos. Project Horses for Forces and the Willow Grove Clydesdales are also expected to march in the parade this year, as will numerous antique cars and the Lehigh Valley Power Ranger car. This year’s parade Grand Marshal is Marian Bredin. Fireworks start at dusk. For further information go to the Washington Celebrates America Facebook page.
