Remote, free, fun: GirlsCodingWithGirls is back

Warren Hills’ award-winning GirlsCodingWithGirls computer science program is returning this month, and the completely remote program will be free for participants!

The weekly meetings will be held Tuesday evenings from Feb. 14-March 16.

GirlsCodingWithGirls empowers girls in grades 4-8 to pursue STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) through a fun mentorship and learning experience, which explores coding and computational thinking.

Sessions will be run by mentors in the high school computer science courses, some of whom attended GirlsCodingWithGirls as mentees!

Now in its seventh year (and 14th session), the program, which is a winner of the Champions of Computer Science National Award, has reached more than 340 mentees. Further, of the mentors who have graduated, all 33 pursued STEM in college, including several attending Ivy league schools. Many are now working as software engineers for high-profile companies.

All levels of experience are welcome at GirlsCodingWithGirls. Participants must have access to a computer and the internet.

Interested families can visit the GirlsCodingWithGirls registration page.
