Are you interested in learning how to play African percussion instruments, but don’t know where to start?
If so, then the African Percussion Demonstration and Drum Circle at Warren County Community College (WCCC) is a great place to get a feel of this ancient musical style.
On Tuesday February 28th from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., Hackettstown’s Chuck Wood, a multi-percussionist who has toured the United States and the world, will be giving the demonstration. He will explain and demonstrate the use of multiple African percussion instruments and will lead an interactive drum circle during which audience members will be welcome to participate.
This event is free and open to the public. The demonstration is co-sponsored by the WCCC Student Government Association and Phi Theta Kappa, an international honor society for two-year colleges. For more information, please visit, warren.edu.
